La Cité de l'Énergie Visiting La Cité de l’Énergie

The Cité de l’énergie visit (approximate total duration of 2 hours) includes :

  • All year long : The Science Center (approximately 2 hours, depending on each individual’s pace) which includes two permanent exhibitions – “Planet Energy” with its multimedia immersive show and “Canada in the World” from the Jean Chrétien Prime Minister Museum, the temporary exhibition and
  • During summertime (From June 7th to September 21st) : the Hydro-Québec observation tower. (See descriptions of activities below)

During summertime (From June 7th to September 21st) you can also visit the hydroelectric sector (approximately 2 hours, with outdoor portions and mainly done on foot) :

  • The hydroelectric sector, free of charge, offered by Hydro-Québec, includes the tour of the N.A.C. Power Plant and the Shawinigan-2 Power Plant, which is still in operation. Visitors will be transported there by shuttles. (See descriptions of activities below).
