La Cité de l’énergie offers a wide range of exhibits and immersive activities on the history and heritage of Shawinigan and its region, as well as on science and technology in relation to energy and industry. For more than 25 years, La Cité de l’Énergie has been a must-see in the Mauricie region for young families, history buffs and fans of science and amazing discoveries!

At the Science Center, travel between the present and the future and discover global energy issues with the immersive Planet Energy exhibition. Let yourself be carried away by the enigmatic flight of energy particles with our multimedia show. Visit the Canada-in-the-World exhibition at the Prime Minister Jean Chrétien Museum, an historical and political exhibition highlighting Canada’s role on the international scene.

During summer (from June 7th to September 21st) Discover the breathtaking panorama of the Mauricie region from atop the Hydro-Québec observation tower. Visit the historic sector and its impressive collection of old hydroelectric production equipment at the N.A.C. Generating Station. And visit a century-old hydroelectric generating station still in operation, a true jewel of Quebec’s hydroelectric heritage!
