La Cité de l'Énergie Visiting La Cité de l’Énergie
La Cité de l’énergie is currently open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The ilia night show is presented Wednesday through Saturday at 9:00 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. (depending on the date) at the Québecor Amphitheatre at La Cité de l’énergie, from July 15 to August 22.
The Cité de l’énergie visit (lasts about 4 hours) includes :
- The Science Centre tour (approximately 2 hours, depending on each visitor’s pace) includes two permanent exhibitions – Planète Énergie and Canada in the world of the Prime Minister Jean Chrétien Museum, the temporary exhibition, the Hydro-Quebec observation tower and the Planète Énergie multimedia show.
- The Hydroelectric Sector Tour, offered by Hydro-Québec (approximately 2 hours, including outdoor portions and primarily conducted on foot), includes visits to the N.A.C. Generating Station and the Shawinigan-2 Generating Station, which is still in operation. Visitors are transported between the sites by shuttle bus. The tour is free of charge, but visitors must check in at La Cité de l’énergie’s ticket office to access the shuttle service.
