Hydro-Québec Observation Tower
- Because of current public health regulations, it is mandatory to wear a mask in the elevator to go up to the tower
You will continue your visit by taking a panoramic elevator to the top of an observation tower built from an old Hydro-Quebec power transmission tower. At 115 meters, it’s the second highest observation tower in Quebec. An evocative symbol of electrical energy, this tower is the trademark of the Cité de l’énergie. You will see the beauty of the Mauricie landscape and the quality of Shawinigan’s urban environment. During this visit, you will discover the history of Shawinigan’s urban and industrial development as well as the built and landscape heritage found within the city boundaries.
